Job Title: Part-Time/On-Call Mentor for EFC Youth (Ages 18-24)
Location: Vibe Homes, Tampa, FL
Reports to: Program Director
Position Overview:
The Lotus Coalition is seeking dedicated and compassionate Part-Time/On-Call coach's to work as Residential Accountability and Stability Coaches with youth aged 18-24 in Extended Foster Care (EFC) who reside in our Vibe Homes. Coaches will provide life skills coaching and support to help youth transition to independent living. This role involves building trust, offering guidance, and helping participants develop skills that foster personal growth, self-sufficiency, and success in adulthood. 15-18 / HR
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one mentorship to EFC youth, focusing on life skills such as budgeting, jobreadiness, cooking, time management, and personal organization.
• Assist youth in setting and achieving personal goals related to education, employment,housing, and self-care.
• Serve as a positive role model, building trust and creating a supportive relationship with theyouth.
• Facilitate group workshops on life skills and independent living strategies, as needed.
• Collaborate with Vibe Homes staff and other mentors to ensure cohesive support for eachparticipant.
• Document and report youth progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Be available on a part-time, on-call basis to provide mentorship and support when needed,offering flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with youth, particularly in a mentoring, teaching, or coachingcapacity.
• Knowledge of the challenges faced by youth in foster care or EFC, including housing,education, employment, and emotional health.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
• Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach to working with young adults.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility in availability, as this is a part-time, on-call role with varying hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in foster care, social work, counseling, or life skills coaching.
• Familiarity with local resources for youth, housing services, job training programs, andeducational opportunities.
